Protacon and MHG Systems Ltd integrate their services
The energy chain information can now be managed in real-time. Information that has been entered once will now serve the whole energy chain. The contracting parties' biomass and energy production IT systems will complement each other and allow easy and real-time management of the energy chain information – from tree plant to ashes and back to the forest in a controlled manner.
MHG Systems brings to the table its knowhow on the first part of the energy chain, i.e. managing biomass related field work and producing map and mobile services. Protacon completes the concept by offering energy companies, terminals, fuel suppliers, carriers, contractors, laboratories and authorities with tools to manage fuel related information. This joint service concept and modern technology will provide new best policies that will improve their customers' business operations.
The solution will promote even more environmentally-friendly energy production and it will also lead the way in decreasing the carbon footprint and improving the traceability of biofuel chains. The total carbon footprint can now be retrieved from a single system. According to international trends, the traceability of biofuels will soon apply to all energy production.
"MHG Systems' core competence lies in its in-depth experience on business models used in the international bioenergy and forest industries. The cooperation with MHG Systems will provide us with new distribution channels – especially to international markets", says the CTO of Protacon Ltd, Vesa Talvela.
"Protacon's expertise on optimising energy plant processes and supplying automation systems allows us to create a unique business model – to sell proven end-to-end solution to power plants and biofuel suppliers on a global scale", explains the Managing Director of MHG Systems, Seppo Huurinainen.

Highest Quality for Stainless Steel Production
ISRA PARSYTEC – the world's leading supplier of surface and web inspection systems for strip products – received a purchase order by the stainless steel manufacturer for a surface inspection system at their Annealing Pickling (APF) line as well as a full license for the Quality Yield Management software.
The Thai stainless steel producer ThaiNox Stainless PLC, Thailand's only manufacturer and distributor of premium cold-rolled stainless steel sheets and coils and largest manufacturer in ASEAN, chose to equip his cold annealing-pickling line at their production site in Rayong with the state-of-the-art inspection system espresso SI. Not only the lean hardware convinced ThaiNox, but more importantly the user-friendly setup and operator software, which enables achieving valuable production benefits on the market shortly after installation.
In order to emphasize the production use, ThaiNox decided to purchase a full parsytec 5i license and to integrate the application 'Coil Decision' in their daily operating cycles. The application is standardized software using database rules for automatic and interactive coil decisions, including any 3rd party gauge data.
ThaiNox' decision for ISRA PARSYTEC was mainly based on the supplier's impressive customer references in the stainless industry such as North American Stainless, ThyssenKrupp Stainless or Acerinox, who emphasize the combined benefit of surface inspection and parsytec 5i. This solution helps the producers to gain significantly higher yields by improving the production quality and by accelerating reliable coil decisions.
The main benefit for ThaiNox? – The preservation of their reputation as being solid-based on outstanding performances and having strong commitments to excellence and customer satisfaction.
The ISRA VISION PARSYTEC AG is the world's largest vendor of surface inspection systems: Today, all of the top 10 steel producers and 15 of the top 20 paper producers employ its products. With more than 600 installations worldwide, it provides its customers with the most advanced surface inspection system as well as reliable and comprehensive information about the relevant surface defects at all production steps. The innovative EXPERT5i software solutions enables customers to easily create individual surface quality yield management applications while integrating surface quality data with process data.
The ISRA VISION Group is the world's largest and most capable vendor of surface inspection systems. The systems are used in the glass, banknote paper, paper, plastics, non-woven fabrics, printing and metalworking industries. The ISRA VISION Group is operating globally with its headquarters in Germany (Darmstadt and Aachen) as well as 15 additional subsidiaries worldwide, e.g. in North America, Korea and China.
Order for cleaning system at Rizhao, China
Noss AB has received an order for a forward and reverse cleaning system to be installed in APRIL's existing fiber line in Rizhao, China. Scanjet Systems our Concept - Responsible Tank Cleaning
As leaders in the global supply of equipment which uses water and chemicals to clean tanks across a wide variety of industries we know some of the pressures facing the manufacture of pulp and paper.
The large volumes of waterconsumed and effluent discharged requires an optimal approach to cleaning. At Scanjet Systems we call this responsible tank cleaning.
This means we don't just supply you with equipment to clean your tanks to the highest standard and in the shortest time, instead we take care to find a technical solution that will use the lowest volume of water and chemicals, that will enable maximum recycling of cleaning waters and that will release the lowest volume and concentration of effluent. We know how important it is for your process to be efficient and environmentally responsible and we appreciate water is a scarce resource.
