Tekscan Releases a Game-Changing Nip Measurement Tool that Saves Time, Money, and Waste
Looking to take the guesswork out of machine setup? Tekscan is excited to announce the release of the new Nip Pressure Alignment Tool™ (NPAT). This tool is used to capture nip footprints and relative pressure distribution between nip rollers in the printing, paper, and packaging industries. This tool provides great insight and invaluable data to engineers looking to improve processes and produce a great product while saving time and money. This system is easy to use, economical, and allows for a quick setup for data collection.
Take the guesswork out of machine setup w/ Tekscan's new Nip Pressure Alignment Tool: www.tekscan.com/npat
By using the NPAT, engineers and consultants are able to ensure proper nip alignment, resulting in a more efficient process. Proper alignment prevents equipment and product damage, in turn reducing waste and increasing yield. This system utilizes a sensor array made up of thin and flexible pressure sensitive bands, whose length and spacing can be configured to match the dimensions of the nip being measured. The NPAT is the only system in the market that is configurable and has the ability to measure wide pressure ranges. The NPAT is a simple, portable tool, easy for any operator to use.
Camilo Aladro, Pressure Mapping Product Manager, says:
“Tekscan is excited to offer its innovative pressure mapping technology in a new ground-breaking form factor that can be used for machine setup. What was once a costly and complicated hardware solution for large rollers is now feasible with one data acquisition system. Many production facilities utilizing nip rollers can avoid costly scrap and downtime by using the NPAT for setup and preventative maintenance.”
