Acosense was selected one of two runner-ups in the prestigious contest Swedish Cleantech Business Award. Minister of Energy, Anna-Karin Hatt was present to announce the winner. The competition was organized for the seventh consecutive year by the Swedish Energy Agency and was held March 14 at the Swedish Congress and Exhibition Centre in Gothenburg during the event Nordic Energy Outlook.

- It is important to highlight the new innovations and businesses that have the potential to be really successful and which also contributes to the bridging of the energy system and reduces climate impact. It is one of the reasons why we are organizing this competition

The jury consists of venture capitalists and investors in technology-based companies. Criteria which the jury looks at when rating companies is the performance of the presentation, the team, the benefits of the product and its market potential.

In the prize ceremony the Minister of Energy, Anna-Karin Hatt, shared her views how important efforts are to highlight the next generation of growth companies in the energy sector.

Acosense shared its second place with Heliospectra that develops lighting for greenhouses. Winner of the competition was Tomologic, offering an optimized cutting process for manufacturing industries.

New CEO of Acosense AB

linnealindau optiIn January, Linnéa Lindau began her work as new CEO of Acosense AB. Linnéa, 35 years of age, has spent the last ten years working as a business coach at Chalmers Innovation. She is also frequently engaged as director of everything from start-ups to established companies and foundations, including Chalmers University of Technology. In addition, she served as CEO of two technology-based growth companies.

Linnéa has a background at Chalmers, where she studied Automation and Mechatronics, and at Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship. 

With her experience in building and managing small businesses and working with finance and investment in technology growth companies, Linnea will lead Acosense AB in the expanding phase that now awaits.

- It’s exciting and fun to become a part of the creative Acosense environment. Right now the company is undergoing an intense phase and already has several customers, proving that the industry need Acosense solutions. Meanwhile, we continue to invest in research and development, a challenge I look forward to lead and to participate in.

David Brohall, former CEO of Acosense will in the future focus on general issues of the Board and work with technology development and expansion issues.
