Conference Theme:

Boosting Performance for Better Quality, Sustainability and Profitability

Tissue World Americas 2012 will include a technical conference covering new developments for producers and converters of soft hygienic tissue paper. The meeting will be held on 21-23 March 2012 at the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC), Miami Beach, Florida, USA.

Authors wishing to present a paper concerning new and innovative technology and solutions are invited to submit an abstract for consideration on the program. Speakers are requested to submit an abstract of 100-200 words outlining the paper to be given and the reasons why they believe that this is of interest to tissue makers and converters. The focus should be on Benefits and Results, rather than Features. Also, you should also indicate the preferred session for presenting the paper, if possible.

Technical sessions are proposed as follows:

1. Papermaking Developments

2. Energy Reduction and Savings

3. Softness, Strength and Surface Treatment

4. Converting and Printing

5. Wrapping, Packaging and Logistics

6. Stock Prep, Recycling, Fibers and Water

7. Process Control, Testing and Maintenance

8. Auxiliary Components in Tissue Making

 

These guidelines for presenters must be respected:

1. Presentations must cover new, innovative technology concerning tissue making and converting.

2. Focus on Benefits and Results, rather than Features.

3. Make the presentation fast, sharp and interesting. DO NOT try and give a very detailed scientific paper. Instead, highlight the most important points that will give benefits to tissue makers and converters and get their attention. You can go into more details at your booth at the show.

4. Priority will be given to papers prepared in cooperation with mill personnel.

5. Presentations must be non-commercial. Your presentation is NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SALES PITCH for your company or products. Emphasis should be on the technology and its application to the tissue business.

6. High quality visual aids should be used.

7. 15 minutes maximum will be allowed for technical presentations. THIS TIME LIMIT MUST BE RESPECTED.

Asian Paper 2010 was successfully held in Bangkok last month during June 16-18 with 3023 trade visitors from the Pulp, Paper, Board and Tissue industries attending the event. The venue was the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in downtown Bangkok.

Asian Paper is Asia’s most complete event for the Paper Business, including the Exhibition, the high level Management Symposium and the Technical Sessions. The show was a success with over 3000 visitors from 48 countries. And, surveys from most trade visitors, conference delegates and exhibitors expressed a generally high level of satisfaction with Asian Paper 2010. There was also a dedicated Press Visit of over 30 media from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam to interact with the exhibitors. The interviewed exhibitors were delighted with the exposure and coverage by the Asia Pacific media.

The high profile Conferences attracted a good number of attendees, with over 150 delegates participating at the Senior Management Symposium (SMS) and New Applied Technology (NAT) conference. The Mill Visit to BJC Cellox Mill on the eve of the show was also well received by the attendees.

Among the Supporting Associations were the Thai Pulp & Paper Industries Association (TPPIA), the Federation of Paper Traders’ Associations of India (FPTA), the Indian Agro & Recycled Paper Mills Association (IARPMA), the Indonesian Pulp & Paper Association (IPPA), the Malaysia Pulp & Paper Manufacturers Association (MPPMA), the Taiwan Paper Industry Association (TPIA) and the Vietnam Pulp & Paper Association (VPPA) who supported the event and played a key role in its success.

Tissue World Asia 2010 - Call for Papers

The 4th Tissue World event in Asia will be held on 17-19 November 2010 in Shanghai. Tissue World Asia 2010 will include a technical conference covering new developments that can be of interest to Asian producers, converters, distributors, traders and suppliers of soft hygienic tissue paper. The conference will be held over 2 days (18 and 19 November 2010) at the INTEX, Shanghai.

Call for Papers
Deadline for submission of abstracts is as soon as possible.
Absolute latest date is 28 June 2010.

The following is the Call for Conference Papers. This is open ONLY to companies that are participating at the Tissue World Asia 2010 exhibition.

Authors wishing to present a paper concerning new and innovative technology and solutions are invited to submit an abstract for consideration on the program. Speakers are requested to submit an abstract of 100-200 words outlining the paper to be given and the reasons why they believe that this is of interest to tissue makers and converters. They should also indicate the preferred session for presenting the paper, if applicable. The earlier we receive your abstract the better the chances it will be accepted.

Kindly arrange to present your papers in both English and Chinese. We will allow time for sequential translation. You must provide your own translator as this will be the most effective for correct translation of technical terms, concepts, etc. Time limits must be respected and if your presentation goes over the allotted time limit, it will be stopped (15 minutes are allocated for each presentation). This is done in the interest of keeping things on time and out of respect for ALL SPEAKERS.
