In a meeting with the M-real Husum department for process and product quality MoRe informed about the possibilities and limitations of different analysis methods. The meeting was initiated due to a mutual interest in creating an even closer cooperation regarding product development and problem solving.

- We informed about different methods and analysis equipments as well as about their respective strengths and weaknesses, says Per Lindgren. We focused on product development and problem solution techniques like gas chromatography, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.  When our customers know more about our different possibilities we become even more efficient and the results are more easily coupled to the process itself.

-It was also useful for us go get more information about the customer's processes and product demands. We see ourselves as an integrated part of the customer's R&D and it is imperative to work closely for the best and fastest result. Several customers have asked for this type of meetings and we see this as an important part of our cooperation.

- It is very important for Husum to have the right problem solution support, often on short notice, says Marie-Louise Wallberg, process coordinator M-real Husum. Close cooperation with clear communication gives us the possibility to use MoRe's competence in the best way. Our aim is to constantly improve the cooperation and the exchange of knowledge by recurring meetings.

MoRe Research and Envall Consulting have signed an agreement giving their customers within the pulp and paper industry access to the companies’ total process know-how and pilot equipment. Together we are a strong partner regarding problem solving and development projects throughout the whole process, from wood to paper.

Envall Consulting are experts in paper chemistry as well as in the deposit and foam prevention fields in pulp production. The cooperation means that the two companies cooperate with their different expertise in projects and for problem solving.

“Both MoRe and Envall Consulting work closely with the mills and stay neutral in relations to third parties”, says Stefan Svensson. “We also complement each other regarding competencies. Envall Consulting are well-known for their knowledge especially within the paper chemistry field, which is a great advantage for our customers. The cooperation strengthens our Hela vägen® (“All the way”) concept to optimize different process steps.

“Our strength lies within paper chemistry and we have identified several advantages in the cooperation with MoRe”, says Håkan Envall, MD Envall Consulting. “By combining MoRe’s complete set of pilot equipment with our knowledge of paper chemistry we will be able to help customers even more with their problems.

“Education of mill staff is a growing concept and this cooperation makes it possible to create interactive courses through laboratory work and mini projects in connection with the pilot machines. Both companies work according to the motto “Paper chemistry in reality with focus on the end customer”.
