At a champagne breakfast with over 1000 Premier Paper Group customers, Mondi demonstrated the benefits of digital printing.

Birmingham, UK, May 19th and 20th, 2010 - Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper Sales UK was 1 of 18 suppliers invited to exhibit at the Premier Paper Group Champagne Breakfast event. Following the breakfast, customers were chauffeured to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) to visit the IPEX exhibition, where the latest printing trends were on display.
The Mondi stand at the breakfast event showcased Color Copy as a premier paper for digital printing. For the past two years, Color Copy has been a FOGRA benchmark leader in overall total print quality. Achieving needle-sharp printouts and brilliant colour is a major concern for customers who use digital print technology for customized high impact communication. Because of its range of formats and 10 different grammages, Color Copy also allows for a wide choice of applications.
The Head of Western Europe for Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper, Brod Geary commented that “Premier Paper Group put on a very prestigious event and it was a tremendous success for all concerned, many good contacts were made.”
Nathan Hickling of Active Colour in Cornwall was the winner of Mondi’s prize draw for a case of champagne. Active colour is a lithographic printer who works on everything from business cards to magazines. Active Colour received environmental accreditation by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) making them one of the first suppliers of local paper print in Cornwall to adhere to these world-wide environmental criteria.
Nathan Hickling commented that the event was “Fantastic, we were treated like VIPs and it was really useful to speak directly with suppliers like Mondi and learn more about their environmental credentials and product developments. I was particularly interested in the environmental projects that Mondi works on”.
Organiser Dave Jones said “We were delighted with the response and feedback from the visitors who attended the breakfast.

The scale of the Premier operation and having the chance to talk directly to the paper supplier, about their respective products and initiatives, were both of great interest to many customers. There was a focus on digital printing at IPEX and this event enabled us to showcase Premier’s extensive portfolio of digital papers in which Mondi’s Color Copy is a key product.”
